Our Functional Support and Operational Analysis team supports the Directorate in performing comprehensive business data analytics, creating meaningful reports and offering functional support for various IT systems.

We are continuously working to improve our services, reduce the ECB’s carbon footprint and provide a work environment that meets the needs of the ECB staff. We are looking for enthusiastic and open-minded trainees to join the Green ECB or one of our services teams.

The ECB is an inclusive employer, and we strive to reflect the diversity of the population we serve. We encourage you to apply irrespective of age, disability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, race, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, or other characteristics.

Your role

As a trainee in the Administrative Services Division, you will support our efforts to improve our services and make them more sustainable. Your tasks will be supervised and vary according to the team you join. Depending on your individual strengths, you will work closely with one of our service teams and related service providers, contribute to tailored communication to our stakeholders, and/or contribute to various environmental management activities.

In all teams your role may include:

  • conducting research and drafting reports;
  • compiling, analysing and visualising data;
  • preparing and delivering presentations related to your activities and those of your team.

Depending on the team you join, you could:

  • contribute to internal communication activities about the team’s services, and support the team’s service and supplier performance management;
  • contribute to environmental management activities and the EU eco-management and audit scheme (EMAS) certification process as part of the Green ECB team;
  • help coordinate logistics activities and support the ECB's ongoing transition to non-allocated workspaces, including assisting with relocations;
  • contribute to business data analysis and reporting.

The position offers you excellent opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to services and activities that enable the institution to deliver on its mandate. You will be part of a multicultural team that strives for continuous innovation to make a positive impact on the lives of European citizens.
